Fair Use Policy

Articulate Intelligence (MapleTech Pte. Ltd.) — Fair Use Policy

To ensure reliable service for all users and to protect the stability of our AI systems, all Articulate plans are subject to this Fair Use Policy.

Our goal is simple:

  • Allow families to use the platform freely for genuine learning.
  • Prevent abuse, spam, automated usage, and commercial misuse.
  • Ensure fair access for all users.

1. Credit-Based Usage

Articulate plans operate using credits.

Current usage costs:

  • Writing Reports: 20 credits per report
  • Oral Practice Sessions: 30 credits per session

Credits may be obtained through:

  • Credit purchases
  • Monthly subscriptions
  • Quarterly subscriptions
  • Yearly subscriptions

Unused credits do not expire.

As long as sufficient credits are available, users may continue using the service normally.

2. What Counts as Misuse?

To maintain fair access for everyone, the following behaviours are considered misuse:

Examples of misuse include:

  • Automated uploads using scripts or bots
  • Attempting to overload or stress-test the platform
  • Uploading blank pages, random text, or non-student content
  • Repeatedly submitting the same content to generate excessive reports
  • Using a parent subscription for commercial tuition or school-wide grading
  • Sharing accounts outside a single household

If unusual activity is detected, we may contact the account holder for clarification.

3. Parent and Family Use

Parent subscriptions are intended for normal home learning use.

Each subscription may be used by:

  • The primary student
  • Siblings within the same household

When submitting work for multiple children, parents should include the child’s name and class where possible.

4. School and Tuition Centre Usage

Parent subscriptions are not intended for:

  • Schools
  • Tuition centres
  • Commercial educational services
  • Teachers grading large numbers of unrelated students

Schools and tuition centres should use our dedicated School / Tuition Centre Plans.

5. If Unusual Usage Is Detected

We will not immediately suspend accounts.

In most cases we will:

  1. Contact the account holder for clarification.
  2. Investigate whether the usage is genuine educational use.
  3. Work with the user to resolve any issues.

In extreme cases involving abuse, fraud, or automated misuse, access may be temporarily restricted.

6. Why Do We Have a Fair Use Policy?

This policy helps us:

  • Maintain fast report generation
  • Keep oral practice sessions responsive
  • Prevent abuse and spam
  • Keep pricing affordable for families
  • Ensure fair access for all users

7. Summary

If you are using Articulate for genuine learning within your household, you are unlikely to encounter any Fair Use issues.

The policy exists primarily to prevent abuse, automated usage, and commercial misuse.
